Famous centeral park in the city of Sapporo. Many events take place in this park. The view from Sapporo's TV Tower is wonderful. Several events are held in the park in the center of Sapporo. The winter snow festival is famous. The Sapporo TV Tower seen from here is the best. The illuminations are beautiful at night!!!!.
-It is 1.5 km at length
-In winter it is good to go just before 5 PM as the illumination starts at 5 PM
-There are many beautiful photo spots before/after illumication
-The Sapporo TV Tower observatory can be used with paid ticket. The view from observatory is great
-You should try "Sapporo Classic Beer" from nearby 7 Eleven which is available only in Hokkaido
Definitely a worthwhile visit when in Sapporo, particularly during the winter festival.
There's large ice sculptures and light decorations that stretch the streets. The park itself is quite long, it's a great spot for a walk.
During the winter festival, they have a German-fest, which is really just an excuse to sell sausages, beer, and hot chocolate. Lots of knock knack shops if you're looking for local crafts to bring back.
Would highly recommend a visit even though the future winter festivals will be toned down and scaled back.
Possibly the best park in Japan. Beautiful, well kept, large, popular, and bustling.
Nice place to walk around. Nothing special if there is no festival or any other event going on
