Reviews from visitors:
A wonderful experience. Love the arts and the exhibitions they have. It’s free for Singaporeans and also pass holders. I’m a Malaysian who studying now in sg and I got a free ticket! So happy for that. Wonderful and educational exhibition. Although sometimes I don’t really understand art, but I think it is still an amazing experience where you should give it a visit for once in a life time. It makes you think more and imagine more, even reflect more.
Staff are friendly, particularly the staff at the Legends by Chua Soo Bin.
Airy, air-conditioned museum of local art, including some key documents on the history of Singapore (especially regarding formation of Malaysia and independence of Singapore). In terms of amenities, there is a cafe on the first floor, a few toilets on each floor, lifts, and ramps. The view from roof is very nice as well.
Very poor service experience provided by the gallery staff , most of the time, the visitor experience ambassadors and the gallery ambassadors are really not well versed in their work and the general delivery of their services to the patrons and visitors coming to the gallery . At times , they are clueless of how to provide proper and concise information to the visitors, and they are always seen to be simply just uninterested to engage the visitors who are in need of some information concerning the place. More trainings or hands-on application courses should be provided for them to brush up on their skills and knowledge pertaining to the gallery
Really huge place with lots of local exhibits. There's 3 levels worth of exhibits, and 6 levels in total. This place is connected to the old Supreme Court to form a unique architectural design.
B1, L2, L3, L4 are where exhibits are.
B1 is ticketing counter. With free lockers for you to use. But you need $1 coin as a deposit.
L1 is where you come in from.
There's 1 restaurant on L5 and 2 on L6.
L6 is only accessible by staircase, no escalator or lifts.
L6 has 2 sites where you can stand to have a good view of Singapore (Padang, MBS, Esplanade etc). View is really good. These 2 sites are free entry, and to the either side of 1 restaurant on L6.
