You find bunch of local fruit trees
The entrance to the villa is free of charge. If you go, on the last floor you will see a beautiful collection of old music boxes from different countries and symhonions decorated with marquetry works from the masters of Sorrento. And Mario, the local guide, who is also a marquetry master, will show how they work. Don’t miss!
Lovely gardens with historic taverna / outbuildings and fruit trees. Very good play park for younger children. The Villa itself is an imposing building with 2 floors of art displays and an amazing collection of mechanical music boxes.....all the better if Mario is there to demonstrate them for you....he built some of the cases himself in the 1960's and later.....he's 83 now !
Visit this lovely house and go down to the basement where you will meet the charming Mario. He will amaze and entertain you with his marvellous collection of antique musical boxes. He made the cabinets of many of them himself! Simply the most memorable experience you will have in Sorrento.
This Villa gives you an idea of what the life was like in the 19th Century! Beautiful lemon and orange groves dot the Park and there are ancient stables where farm animals were kept. The Villa is a museum now and the exhibits are well worth your time to stop in. No entrance fee, but a donation would be welcome. The carillon or music box exhibit is fabulous! You meet the woodworker that actually made the boxes and he plays them for you!
