Reviews from visitors:
Best experience when I was visiting here about a year ago.
Very clean and nice historical places to learn about Taiwan especially for tourist.
I've been told Taiwan is one of the safest place to visit. Indeed, there alot of CCTV can be found almost everywhere. I can say, safer than Singapore. No offence.
This is my second visit and it is recommended.
A great place to learn about history, Taiwan history specifically, and the man who made it possible for Taiwan to exist as a nation.
Politics aside, you have to acknowledge that what he did allowed Taiwan aka The Republic of China to exist and he preserved many artifacts of ancient Chinese culture.
Not to mention the architecture is amazing.
I recommend going during the week and in through morning or afternoon.
Once every hour, you may witness the military changing of the guard at the CKS stature. Again, politics aside, but it certainly takes a lot of dedication and discipline to be that accurate and succinct.
Very nice place for city families. Park area is big and beautiful. Fish feeding is allowed around the lakes, and vending machines for fish feed are available too. Kids just love this place. And it's the season for cherry blossoms in the gardens.
If you love art, history and grand public spaces, this is one of the best place to visit in Taipei. In addition to the fact that you should visit – however take as much time as is needed, explore far beyond the usual tourist spots. Many tourists who come here just observe the sculpture and maybe the changing of the guards. Furthermore, they are really missing out!
The site was breathtaking, the plants and modern architecture blended together to create the perfect paradigm of what a human eye can hold. Furthermore the statue itself was encapsulated by the building creating an indescribable atmosphere and promised a new hope.
I bought a coaster from the merch store :)
Edit: I'm not sure why I wrote this
