Reviews from visitors:
Thank you Calvin, Allen and Wayne for providing such a beautiful space for my first art exhibit, Bottled Feelings.
From the moment I stepped into the Urban Gallery I knew it was going to be the place for my first and solo art exhibit, Bottled Feelings. The space is clean, spacious, warm, welcoming and the owners are more than hospitable.
I appreciated details such as a coat racks for my guests as my show was in the winter, and they prepared a guest book, a TOTAL oversight on my part but the messages/entries were so heartwarming and wouldn't exist without their thoughtfulness. The hanging system inside the gallery is great and allowed simple and straightforward installation, and this is where Allen provided his expertise in placement as well as lighting.
A key factor is that the gallery takes a flat fee for the month and takes ZERO commission from the artist, this means they don't sell your artwork, but as an artist, we really do have to sell ourselves.
The area can be a little daunting but this gallery is a gem and makes it shine. I have absolutely only good things to say and would exhibit there again if I have a second show! Thank you again!
This site is my preferable place. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this restaurant. everytime I I need a fair meal, this place comes straight to my mind. excellent and all sorts of food and a large menu.professional staff, and good mood. And very important, the charge is affordable. I suggest this restaurant with no hesitation.
Very well kept and accessible place. They provide generous meals and for fair rates. We liked the meals a lot and the waiters were very personal and chatty. Highly recommended.
A very warm welcome by Gallery manager and Curator. I also loved the opening reception filled with laughter, joy, good food, beautiful arts collection, enthusiastic team. I also loved the overall ambience and would visit the place over and over again.
I was not impressed with what I saw by Calvin Hambrook (one the catering company owners) he asulted one of my dearest friends with a racial slur ( about his being jewish ) ...that was extremely unkind...I would be Leary of this so called gallery I also found it very very overpriced for only 3 weeks that u get and using artist for their own catering company sales..... and then having the nerve to book a political party on top of meet the artist on the same date!!! I also found the food too be cheaply done( very very skimpy) and not very good at all ...and from what I can see there is very little street traffic and the location leaves a lot to be desired ( they also lock their doors i,m sure to the bad area and theft) so access to gallery is not good to anyone who might want to drop in. Overall they need to learn to respect their customers and friends!!!!!
