What is the point of keeping a tourist office open in winter if the information they provide is scarce, confused if not even wrong?
Having to return from Santa Maria di Leuca to Lecce by public transport on January 4th, we ask if there is a bus and at what time, where it stops and the ticket.
We are told that there is only one, at 6:15 in the morning but they don't know where it stops and they don't have tickets.
We ask around, we locate the stop but it seems impossible to get tickets.
The morning wakes up very early and endless, useless, waiting. The bus never passed.
On August 15, 2019 we went to Santa Maria di Leuca to see the spectacle of the monumental waterfall that was scheduled for 8:00 pm.
At 9:30 pm they just turned on the lights.
We hope the show starts at 10pm
It is not a good technique to attract tourists because people have been standing for two hours now.
Many people have left and we will do the same.
Pro loco association of Leuca has always been committed to the promotion of the territory, they organize guided visits to the Faro and to the traffic lights, during the summer cultural events. a reference point for the tourist and cultural information for all those visiting Santa Maria di Leuca. I have been coming to Leuca for two years and the waterfall has been closed for 2 years. This year I was told it is under maintenance. and it will open but there is no calendar yet. Yesterday 12 July I made an inspection and I did not find any workers',. however a lot of garbage all along the way. that yes. I wonder we have a lot but we don't value. Abroad a little but they enhance it. Unfortunately we are in Italy
