Went on a fly fishing wade trip with Andy this past weekend. Fantastic time -- caught a rainbow on literally my first cast. Definitely pure luck, but the rest of the day was great as well. Went to two spots and had action all day! Highly recommended...ask for Andy.
Reserved ice fishing event day after Christmas. Jim was guide and weather was perfect. Everything we needed was provided, Caught brook and rainbow trout. Jim was great, personable and handled keeping our lines baited and even let us use his sonar to see the fish hit the bait! We had 4 in our group. Well worth the money.
I needed a break from skiing as Im not as young as i used to be. I always wanted to fly fish in a CO river for trout but knew from fishing many other new places if i wanted a realistic chance of catching a fish i would need a guide. i called them and the owner set us up the a guide who took us to his secret spot and showed us how and where to fish for trout in a very cold winter conditions. It was a great experience and if i get the chance to do it in July (best time) ill be back back.
Did a 4 hour trip down the Colorado with Jim as our guide. The scenery was fantastic. A peaceful float down the river while catching a bunch of fish - brown, rainbow, and cutthroat trout mostly. Jim was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He made sure to row us back through sections of the river that were getting bites to maximize our catches. This was the best fly fishing experience I've had so far. The perfect follow up to our hike up the Mount of the Holy Cross.
Spent the day on the Eagle River with a terrific guide, Matt Wear. Matt was exceptional - a patient instructor who was flexible and adaptable to our specific needs. We fished four great spots on the river and learned and had ample time to practice a couple of different techniques. We caught browns and rainbows. Would definitely recommend Matt as a guide and will specifically request him on our next trip to Vail Valley. Nothing better than being on the river on a gorgeous summer day with someone who knows the ropes!
