The technical level of the teachers is (in some cases) unquestionable. It really is a school where it does not cost to find people who dance of wonder. However, as you have already said, the deal leaves a lot to be desired.
Those who end up being teachers are the 'friends of ...', who, in turn, only pay attention in the classes to their own friends. I have seen teachers doing choreographies to give their best friends alone and not to pay any attention to the other 15-20 students, as if they did not also pay religiously to be able to attend.
Some do not know your name, nor are they able to make a single comment or correction, even if you have been going to that class for several years. Many times you feel invisible.
They should consider if this is what they really want. A lot of people go to that school, not only the 8-10 students who go to great lengths with the teachers, they go to all the classes and they go partying with them.
My 12-year-old daughter goes to camp every year and since she likes to dance a lot, I decided to sign her up for EDAE. We arrived. It was a house. Very bad facilities. Rooms with many girls at night. and that the only objective of EDAE was the final presentation, the very distant monitors and there was no leisure, just dancing the truth, I feel that they cheated me
I suppose they will be great professionals, which I do not doubt, but the treatment is very close. My daughter has been enrolled since October, she has been without health for two months and nobody has called us to ask. I do not want special attention to my daughter, far from it, but they neither roll call nor have they ever worried about why the girl did not come to class. In class all involved, a thousand children, with a personal zero treatment. Very good attention to those who see or recognize as artists but normal street children who simply like to dance and enjoy doing it do not pay any attention to them, I do not think this alone, in this case unfortunately I am the voice of more mothers.
