Reviews from visitors:
GREAT tour, very in depth and informative. Really cool historical info about most influential family in post-revolutionary war Norfolk.
My friends and I had the pleasant surprise of being offered a tour while visiting the house. Our guide was unbelievably knowledgeable & we enjoyed every minute of the tour. There is so much to grasp about the times of this family and their influence on Norfolk.
I only wish regular tours were offered as we could never have understood so much wondering through on our own.
The docent who gave us the tour was very friendly and knowledgeable. Listening to the history of Norfolk was a nice way to spend my Saturday afternoon.
We just came from the medical tour led by Karen. She was extremely knowledgeable about the house, Norfolk, and Jewish religion and culture. We did not know that the Myers family gave the land that now houses the largest naval base in the world in Norfolk. Karen also did a great job of tying in the house to Norfolk history. Definitely a must-visit!
Wow, so much history in one house. Karen, our docent is a treasure. She told the stories of the founding of Norfolk and how the Meyers played such an important part in building the Norfolk area. Karen is a fount of historical knowledge and a treasure trove of Norfolk history. Don't pass up this stop on the cannonball trail walking tour.
