Reviews from visitors:
It is a very beautiful Christian church.
Would you be a priest if you were allowed to take pictures from outside? A white-haired man smiles open the door and invites you.
In the evening, students who were young were practicing the instrument in the evening.
I paid a few rubles to light a candle and returned.
I had a very nice experience.
The oldest church building in the city, built in 1909, recognized as an architectural masterpiece by Hugo Georg Junghendel in a clear German Gothic style. There was a fairly large German diaspora in pre-revolutionary Vladivostok. With the arrival of the Soviets, the congregation was dispersed, partially shot in 1935, and Pastor Reichwald, according to the tradition of that time, was sent on a business trip to the camps. The next year, the building was transferred to the naval forces of the workers 'and peasants' red army. There was a cinema to them. Gorky, the club of the Pacific Fleet's foremen, and in 1950 the Military-Historical Museum of the Pacific Fleet was organized here. At the entrance there was a rather extensive, partly superior to modern, composition of artillery pieces and a T-18 tank, and in the place of the altar there was a bust of the chief navigator of all times and peoples V.I. Lenin.
In 1997, the building was transferred to the Lutheran community. Repair and restoration work has been going on for 12 years. In 2006, an organ was brought from Australia and installed.
In addition to the services of the Lutheran community, the church hosts German language training, charity events and organ music concerts.
A magnificent piece of architectural art, a real decoration of our city. Great organ concerts are held here, tickets for which are very inexpensive. Been here at the services that made a lasting impression on me.
Loved the organ music concert. Calm and friendly atmosphere. In the intermission tea, coffee, cookies for free. Beautiful woman Maria, the benevolent priest and all employees.
The Lutheran Church is the oldest church building in the city of Vladivostok. It belongs to the monuments of architecture, is located along Pushkin Street, 14.
Originally the church was wooden, it was built in 1878, but already in 1909 the church was rebuilt from brick, the construction was carried out at the expense of entrepreneurs of German origin. The main sum was made by the business firm Kunst and Adbers, which was not unknown at the time in our city, whose manager, Adolf Duttan, for many years was a member of the leadership of the church council. In 1935, the city authorities closed the temple and dissolved the Lutheran community. In 1936 the building of the church was handed over to the Navy. It opened a movie theater named after M. Gorky, there was also a club of senior officers of the Pacific Fleet.
From 1950 to 1997, the building housed the Military History Museum of the Pacific Fleet. At the entrance to the museum stood museum guns, T-18 tank, on the site of the altar was installed the bust of Lenin. September 16, 1997, in the presence of the German ambassador to Russia, the church building was transferred to the Lutheran community on a gratuitous basis for unlimited use, it can be said that historical justice triumphed. The church immediately began to function and repair works were carried out for a single period, which lasted a long 12 years. The restoration of the church was carried out at the expense of organizations and individuals from Germany, the US and other countries, as well as with the help of volunteers. In 2006, an organ was delivered from Australia, a gift from the Lutheran communities of Melbourne and Sydney. The second organ of the church was presented by T. Stol-Germany, now it sounds in every divine service.
In addition to divine services, the church also hosts social events, charitable concerts, since September 2006, organ music concerts.
We also go to organ music concerts, very touching and heartfelt evenings! The price for such events is symbolic, here the citizens come to rest their souls, distract from cares, touch the beautiful world of organ music. Thanks to the organizers!
