The monument to Stirlitz (art object) was installed in Vladivostok at the beginning of the current year 2018 at the corner of Svetlanskaya Street, 8, opposite the Versailles Hotel. The place is historic, since it is believed that it was in Vladivostok that the author of the novel "The Password Is Not Needed" by Yulian Semyonov came up with the famous character (Shtirlitsa). It happened when the writer lived in the hotel "Versailles".
The art object was created with the money of patrons. The sketch belongs to the sculptor, who in 2010 expressed the idea of installing a monument to the famous literary character, he was supported by the mayor of our city, but for that period there was no money, and in 2011 the author of the project died in an accident. The idea was realized seven years later by the close friend of the author of the project. The design is simple, vandal-resistant, is a metal panel, in which the image of the legendary Soviet spy is carved.
A great idea for a memorable sign, the image of the building from this only wins. Unambiguously, this monument will not use fake interest not only from townspeople, but also from guests, tourists coming to Vladivostok. The only, not a big minus, a place brisk, the road is near, you will not stay long at the corner, a little sorry, but the impression and emotions do not decrease from it.
Thank you to the initiative people of our wonderful city who implemented this project and at the same time decorated the city with such a beautiful Art object.
