It seems almost unfair not to mention the other top-notch beaches along the way, but Wailea Beach, a few short miles down the coast, has been rated among the best in the United States.
What you get is a scallop-shaped bay, bordered by upscale resorts for Four Seasons, Marriott and Waldorf Astoria.
Fringed by coconut palms is a beautiful crescent of golden sand washed by low waves that are still lively enough for bodysurfing.
Wailea Beach is bookended to the north and south by rocky outcrops, and on calmer days there’s great visibility in these parts for snorkelers.
Soft sand and nice beach, but didn’t like the resort feel to it. Tons of hotel umbrellas and chairs out, so to put up different ones despite it being a public beach felt weird. And if I was a hotel guest, I would’ve preferred it to be exclusive and considered other umbrellas to be an eye site.
There are restrooms there, which we didn’t use, and a cleaning off area. Parking is a bit limited too.

Control over by the hotel. A nice walkway provided along the beach. Beautiful views. Especially for sunset . Best hotel. Grand Wailea. Expensive but a wonderful vires friendly service huge swimming pool. Numerous restrictions
