If you look will find some nice local talent here.
Mostly tourist stuff but there are still treasures to find.
Check out Hexapress.
Killer hand made block printing, done by some really talented artist.
Support local talent.
Lots of touristy knickknacks. I did end up returning to pick up some trinkets for friends. However, the best part was the fresh coconut. He chose one out for us, used a machete to cut it open, the we got to drink the fresh coconut milk out of it with a straw. Then he expertly dehusked/shelled the coconut and put it in a bag. The coconut was delicious, but the experience was priceless.
More affordable than most traditional (building) stores in Hawaii offering the same dresses in addition to unique arts & crafts not found elsewhere... the bonus is that you're supporting locals while paying less. It's a win win
A cute little souvenir stop, but most things seemed mass produced so I was a little disappointed. I assumed craft fair would have more hand made things. Lots of tshirts and dresses for very good prices! I was really impressed by the seashell things too. The guy selling pipes was really funny and friendly, and the other vendors were all very nice as well (they kinda hovered which isnt super fun for an introvert like me but I totally get it as a theft prevention measure so I don't hold it against them.)
If you need souvenirs this is an excellent stop.
If you're like me looking for local art I had more luck at the thrift shops
What's OK. Not to bad. The parking lot is a major pain. If you have anyone in a wheelchair or stroller almost impossible to get through. Charge a small cover to do upgrades to the parking lot. Needs better selection of refreshments. Better lot for the vendors also will attract more vendors. Needs at least porta potties for people also. Overall, not too bad. Definitely will be back
