Reviews from visitors:
The Fridge proves that Washington, D.C. is a creative city beyond politics. It's a small gallery/art space in an old building in a historic alley behind Barracks Row. Between murals and The Betsy, one of Capitol Hill's best brunch spots, it's THE alley to visit.
The Fridge often rotates its art, but you can be assured whatever is there is unique. The most recent installation I visited is a large graffiti art exhibit and it's AWESOME!
In addition, you can rent the space out for events. It's one large room with a small bar area in the back. It's perfect!
Was awesome there! Stunning art
Love the contribution to the Urban art scene.
the guy who owns the place is amazing. one time I went with some people when it was closed and he let us in anyway and gave us an excellent private tour. he was clearly very knowledgable on all the art and whatnot. a little hard to find.
Awesome art gallery off of 8th street in south east. Cool rear alley location with lots of local street art all over the building . I hosted a Beat Konductaz battle here for the Words Beats and Life DC Hip Hop Festival with legendary hip hop producers Ski Beatz, Shawn J. Period and Hezekiah of Beat Society OG.
