Reviews from visitors:
I had a good time there and that’s mostly because I saw many old and extremely beautiful works of art from my country, Iran. Which was a surprise because I was there to see Armenian art!
Very interesting and unique place. Just go for yourself.
Rich collection of manuscripts, national musical instruments, traditional garments.
Pleasant atmosphere!!!
Yeghishe Charents Museum of Art and Literature is one of the main cultural and scientific institutions of Armenia. From the point of view of the Armenian national self-consciousness, this museum is the second most important cultural center after the Matenadaran. The largest of the museum's funds is the Literary Fund, which preserves the archives of Armenian writers, including the manuscripts of Sayat-Nova, Khachatur Abovyan, Misak Metsarents and Yeghishe Charents. This museum preserves the famous portrait of Charents, created by Martiros Saryan in 1923. The museum consists of theatrical and musical fund, film funds. The "Art of the Middle East" exhibition of the museum is also interesting. Especially those interested in Armenian literature are advised to visit this museum.
