Definitely worth a visit - a really interesting attraction and good value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the lovely lady on reception who made extra effort to find our booking after my confirmation e-mail went astray. The audio guide is really interesting especially the interactive re-creations of the rooms (although a little bit clunky to get used to). There is a little drinks stall in the gardens.
The palace is very beautiful and one can get great views from the terrace outside the palace which is free to access. However, I felt that it wasn't as beautiful inside the palace. However, the modern audio/video guide was really helpful to understand the history.
Incredible. Couture comes with an iPad that helps you see what the castle would have looked like back in medieval times. It's extremely informative, very beautiful and thorough. One of the best places in France for international tourists
It is historically very important place. Good to have a tour inside. But the maintenance is not up to the level what it should be. Unless you listen to the history carefully, as a common people you will find only large empty old architectures inside.
Whilst they are beautiful, it’s not just seeing the same paintings and statues as everyone else, it’s suddenly realizing that the same beautiful light has been coming through this window for 700 years. I have found a beautiful quiet spot that everyone else walks by without giving it a second glance. A very special place indeed.
