Reviews from visitors:
I Don't recommed the shop. I bought a super expensive amber ring and the shine of the amber almost disappeared. I wrote them to ask for a solution, with photos, bill, warranty etc and they have never answered to me..... So you'd better avoid buying anything expensive unless you live in Denmark
Only a small museum, more a store exhibition. Worth a look if you have a Copenhagen card (making it essentislly free) but I think I'd skip in favour of other attractions, especially if you're short on time and/or you had to pay to do it.
Easy enough to find though, right at the top of Nyhavn.
This shop and museum is small and sweet! Perfectly layed old artwork, presumably from a private collection, some amber pieces are showcased with magnifying glasses so you can see the small incects engulfed in the stone.
Our only gripe: despite the amazing variety and design of the items in the shop, it's more on the luxury side of things. With the corresponding price. If you're opulent enough, go for these amazing jewels!
Expensive amber jewellery store. The "museum" had a few amber pieces in it and not much information. With all the signs everywhere in Chinese, as well as the staff, it's obvious who it's aimed at. Not worth a special visit, or paying for entry to the "museum".
Very cool little place. You can do the museum in an hour or so. Lots of fun facts and all sorts of things to see like ship models, chess sets, et al... and all made from different kinds of amber. There are many, including this type I'd never seen that's such an amazing shade of green.
