Stop, shop and haggle. It's not a "real" market, but just a big, extended tourist shop. None the worse for that if you like the goods and prices. Around the edge are bars, cafes and eating places. It's a reasonable, compact place to get that toy llama or silly hat.
This market was great fun. It filled the main square of Pisac. There was merchandise of every kind both manufactured and hand made - varying qualities . The colors of the cloth goods are startlingly beautiful. They also sell a boiled corn that is very tasty. Great stop.
If you have already seen enough tourist shops on your travels in Peru I would recommend skipping this one. If you're very into souvenir shopping then you couldn't possibly get enough of this place.
It's also a rrally good place to buy Peru's high quality silver wears. Just be sure that you're buying the actual silver products and not the rip-offs. You can find almost all souvenirs of differing quality here.
What a fantastic experience! Incredibly friendly and hard-working people. Good prices - after you haggle, of course! This is a must stop if you are in the Sacred Valley.
Really amazing place - so much to buy!! Haha don’t be afraid to bargain here. Everything is negotiable. Make sure not to buy from the first stand you see. Everyone sells the exact same goods and they all take credit card. Even if they say they don’t, tell them you’ll find it somewhere else. Suddenly, the shop keeper will pull out a card machine or ask a neighbor for one.
