Incredible place- give yourself plenty of time to go around and admire everything. The famous paintings are amazing, but make sure to look at the less famous ones as well, because they are spectacular as well. A beautiful building in a beautiful city up to its neck in history.
It was a great and life time experience to visit Uffizi Gallery. In order to understand history of modern art and how Medici family has a impact on art, this is the place where you may visit day even two days.
I had a chance to visit when it was calm because of travel restrictions therefore no long waiting time. I would suggest you to book in advance.
Only negative thing was the Uffizi staffs, I had a interaction with two staff and they were rude.
Absolutely tonnes of art. Got to see many classics by Botticelli and others. We booked online. Turned up about 5 minutes early to collect them then went in with no problems.
That's the highlight of our Florence trip. We visited museums in Napoli, and Roma, but Uffizi Gallery is just more interesting, so many sculptures, very fine arts. Beside the building itself is really well designed for exhibits. Audio-guide is very simple and straight to the point. I regret though that explanations are mostly about the artists themselves, and not the historical context of the artworks themselves. A great 4 hours visit.
It is a must-see place even you do not care about art too much. Otherwise perfect experience, but forced wearing of masks and following this rule was just too much for me and it disturbed to enjoy the place.
