Very beautiful church. It is the center of Florence. You will love the art on its wall. Easily accessible by city buses or by pedestrain also. Also area is surrounded by market. I suggest to go at evening. The lights of shops gives a amazing view.
A World Renowned Cathedral. The inside is more plain than expected compared to the outside but the outside is a world special view. It is a long way to the top of either the cupola dome or the bell tower but they do have amazing views once you get to the top.
Florence's most cherished place of worship. A beautiful, old and well kept Place of God. Those of us with this type of inclination should enter and worship for awhile. We said a prayer for our parents and others who have passed along lighting a candle for them before we went on our way. It is awe inspiring which is what is meant to be as during it's time era it was to overwhelm the worshippers equivalent to modern day's big screen TV.
Absolutely amazing piece of architecture! Go to the top of the dome if you can. Don't bother going inside the cathedral of there's a big queue. This has to be the most underwhelming church interior in the region. Every other church in the city has vastly superior interiors.
I don't think there is anything to say that hasn't been said about this place. A really beautiful church right in the middle of the city. There is plenty of things to do around there and cafes to sit. Definitely worth a visit.
