Newton Park is a great little beach. It has paid parking (currently $3/hr.) and even on busy days, we've found places to park. The water is shallow a good ways out, so kids or weaker swimmers have lots of room to enjoy the sand water and sun. The sand is fine like powder - sticks everywhere, but beautiful for the feet or laying on. There's also a Publix just a couple blocks away if you need to pick up snacks or grab last minute supplies.

Newton Park is a hidden surprise along Estero Boulevard and Fort Myers Beach. There is handy parking, nice shaded picnic table areas, direct beach access, and an air conditioned building with amenities. This is a great place to spend a morning or an afternoon, and it is a good starting point for your Beach Walk.
