Reviews from visitors:
Lots and lots of smaller shells. You have to get here early in the morning to get the really nice ones though. They get picked up quickly. If the smaller ones are what you want then bring a big shovel. You can get them by the bucketful. Nice beautiful sand and clear water. Beach is nice and clean as well as the facility.
Love this beach but unfortunately we only come here right before we head back home! It's a great place to just sit and chill, read a book or take a nap. You could also wade in the water or walk all over the beach. You could even cross the shallow water to go to the other side of the park and enter it close to the car park. I found a dead starfish, a huge dead sand dollar and multiple starfish legs at various times!!
Love it but the mosquitoes are so bad
I love walking Ft Myers Beach pier to the bowditch point. I do not however, like going there after the dredging occurred.
Shells are very limited, where before I would be able to gather many different kinds.
The water comes up to an outcropping of rocks, where before, it was about 30 feet away. Much safer before.
I will continue to walk the beach because of the exercise and the tranquility of communication with nature!!!
Beautiful sand and water. Just far enough from the public so it's not so crowded.
