Great shop! The owner paints the ornament gourds and the paintings in the shop, which are beautiful. You may even be able to see her in action painting!

This Art Gallery is amazing. We love all the hand crafted trinkets and jewelry. The artists have such beautiful talent! Terry is the sweetest, friendliest person who is so full of useful knowledge about the art and gallery! If you haven't visited, you should put it on your list of places to shop!
5 Highland Craft Gallery

This shop is amazing. It has a little bit of everything, all hand made by over 60 local artists- paintings, note cards, jewelry, candles, figurines, ornaments, wooden utensils, stuffed animals, etc. The owner is great- really friendly, and she can tell you about each piece and how it was made, as well as a bit about the artist and their history. She even gave us some suggestions for hikes and places to eat. I especially loved the botanical notecards/paintings and the wood carved ornaments! I highly recommend this shop.

7 William Britten Gallery

The very first picture of William Britten I saw, I turned to my wife and said, “that is lit with a light from behind”. Boy was I wrong! What I like about his framed pictures, is that they are coated with a treatment that protects the photo and also brings out the richness of the color. His lighting techniques, also gives some of his pictures a 3-D effect.
William Britten brings out the emotions of the Smokies and has a name for every one of his photos. You see the love he puts into his craft. If you are in the area and looking for artwork to take back home with you, you would be cheating yourself if you did not stop buy his Gallery before you make a decision on a purchase. All of what I have seen from others in the area, William Britten, in my opinion, is the best Artistic Photographer. His Gallery is easy to find, located on Glades Road in the Art Loop.
We have four of his pictures with our eyes on a couple more. The people in the Gallery are very friendly and enjoyable to talk to. It’s a must stop on every visit for us when we visit Gatlinburg!

I had so much fun and learned a lot about Alcohol Ink. Jann is terrific and a gifted instructor. I visited in October and still painting. The best souvenirs from the Great Smokies were the ones I made. Merry Christmas Jann and a Happy Healthy New Year in 2021.

I JUST discovered Ken Jenkins' work. I wish I had known about him and his incredible work before the 2016 fire. I was THIS close to the largest natural history bookstore in the US and didn't realize it! My wife and I are trying to free up more wall space for his work.
15 Fowler's Clay Works

Great experience!!! My husband and I took a class where we made our own pieces of pottery. The instructor, Rachel, is incredible! She knows how to explain each step in detail while keeping the class fun! In the pottery shop, Karen, is extremely helpful and sweet as can be! When we were leaving, my (not so sure at first) husband said he was really glad that we did this. We will definitely be making this a part of our TN trips!

What a sweet place and lots of photos opportunities here. You feel like a kid too along the sky bridges and trees houses. The fountains, metal art work and grounds are beautiful. The shops and restaurants are cute too with such amazing views. I love the ski lift too. The restaurant was good but the service was off; food wasn’t done exactly as ordered but the server tried to make it right.
17 Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies

This place is amazing. Made me feel like a kid again. The exhibits were awesome and the shark tank that you can walk under....all I can say is WOW!!!. Never in my life did I ever contemplate being able to see a shark this close nor watch it swim by while standing underneath and see its underside. Truly as amazing place to visit. Large diversity of marine life.

This one is for the Slice Pizza shop. Simply put great New York Style pizza... we got there around 930pm, said it would be about 45 minute for a whole pie. 20 minutes later, hot and ready to take home with us. Staff was friendly and very gracious.
19 Concrete Statuary Designs

Large selection of all kinds of statues, and I loved the bear statues especially. Each sculpture was made with care. A little pricey, but this is handmade work with pieces that are so unique and hard to find anywhere else.
20 Sparky's Glass Blowing
10+images
We just stumbled across Sparky's Glass Blowing Shop by accident. We absolutely loved his shop. We must have spent half an hour just hanging out and chatting with Sparky. He took the time to stop what he was working on and actually make us something while we waited. It was absolutely fantastic to watch him work. We would recommend his shop to absolutely anyone who has a love for had crafted art.
