The very first picture of William Britten I saw, I turned to my wife and said, “that is lit with a light from behind”. Boy was I wrong! What I like about his framed pictures, is that they are coated with a treatment that protects the photo and also brings out the richness of the color. His lighting techniques, also gives some of his pictures a 3-D effect.
William Britten brings out the emotions of the Smokies and has a name for every one of his photos. You see the love he puts into his craft. If you are in the area and looking for artwork to take back home with you, you would be cheating yourself if you did not stop buy his Gallery before you make a decision on a purchase. All of what I have seen from others in the area, William Britten, in my opinion, is the best Artistic Photographer. His Gallery is easy to find, located on Glades Road in the Art Loop.
We have four of his pictures with our eyes on a couple more. The people in the Gallery are very friendly and enjoyable to talk to. It’s a must stop on every visit for us when we visit Gatlinburg!
William Britten photography is exceptional! Truly "the next best thing to being there!" One feels as though they are part of the picture...as if they are on the trail, or standing near a stream, waterfall, or beautiful mountain vista. A must see gallery...your purchase WILL bring the Smoky Mountains into your home.
One of my absolute favorite stops on the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts loop. The artwork is spectacular. You feel like you could literally step into the artwork. Several of his pieces speak to me. Purchased my first on in May. Looking forward to adding to my collection. Stop in for a relaxing and memorable gallery. You will be glad you did.
His work is outstanding. I look at it and am reminded of a simpler time. It makes me feel is as if I was there. He definitely has gift.
We have been going to Gatlinburg for over 11 years now and have always admired the beautiful work that William does. Last year I FINALLY bought two of his pieces for our home and I love just stopping in front of them to enjoy their beauty!!
