This place is amazing. Made me feel like a kid again. The exhibits were awesome and the shark tank that you can walk under....all I can say is WOW!!!. Never in my life did I ever contemplate being able to see a shark this close nor watch it swim by while standing underneath and see its underside. Truly as amazing place to visit. Large diversity of marine life.
We had a wonderful visit to Ripley's Aquarium. Their underwater tunnel was so long and the tank was full of large, very active creatures. Our children were beyond thrilled to find a play structure that is open! It was clear that their standards for cleanliness were excellent and made us feel very comfortable. Their snack bar had a nice selection as well. Highly recommend you visit!
This aquarium was amazing! If you are affiliated with the military, ask for your discount. It is half off the admission price! I was able to get a couple glimpses of the elusive giant turtle, but there was so much more to see. I loved the tunnel where everything could swim over the top of you even, as we decided to go through that twice. Husband was able to pet a shark, and I pet a beautifully silky ray. If you get the chance, try to be around for the penguin parade as they will waddle right by your feet...this is near where you can pet sharks/rays. Sadly, the "pet the jellies" was not open when we went by it, but found out it opened later. That would have been an experience. We bought the photo they take in the beginning and I was pleasantly surprised they actually gave us two, a large and a smaller one. I have been to other large and small museums and I would definitely go to this one again. Plus...it's located in beautiful Gatlinburg!!! This is a MUST SEE!
Fun aquarium! Loved the tunnel, having sharks swim right above your head is really neat! The prehistoric fish were another highlight for us. Really nice aquarium, worth the visit. Gift shop is really big and has tons of cool merchandise. We had fun!
Awesome place to visit. My family had so much fun. Great views throughout the aquarium. You can even sleep in the aquarium, in the shark room. I"m not sure how much the cost is for sleeping with the sharks.
My favorite attraction was the penguins. They have a tunnel where you can craw through and stand up in, so that you can get a closer look at the penguins. If you want an experience with a penguin , you can have it and paint with a penguin.
