Local and real. Such a beautiful place. Definitely worth a visit of you want to find something authentic
Excellent quality handmade Japanese pottery. I bought a tea set; the price was very reasonable. Service was excellent - wrapping and packaging my purchase was a three person operation. Staff speaks both Japanese and English. Overall, a great place to get legit Japanese ceramics.
Good place for who loves crafts. I Visited only shop as I was looking for a special item for me but there are many items which shall need time. Please , I'd you intend to visit no historical places it's a good option.
Very diverse offering. Loved Tanaka Yu's work and was directed to see more of her larger work at Takashimya
Beautiful experience. Many unique, valuable and inspiring one of a kind ceramics. Be sure to see the upstairs gallery and bring some money to buy a collectible. The caliber of artists is high. A great place to stop when strolling through Kyoto.
