If I would compare the street art in Spain and the graffiti in Australia, I'd say that there exists several similar features. On one hand, there are street art tours in both countries. In addition, you could see contemporary art centers in their capital cities. I would suggest contacting Cooltourspain if interested in urban art. They organized such a cool trip for us in Barcelona, Málaga and Madrid. Cheers
Old tabacco factory converted into "experimental, funky" museum, WITHOUT changing the basic structure, renewing contruction materials, etc to maintain the memory of what it was once. Totally worth an occasional drop-by to see new exhibits. In the heart of one of Madrid's most diverse neighbourhoods (packed with places for tapas and wine after the visit to the museum.) A MUST when you visit Madrid.
Of the best street art galleries I've seen. It's worth going through and looking at what they are exhibiting at that moment. What they promised to be 10 min was extended to an hour touring their rooms
Yipi Yipi Yeah is probably Madrid's most active street art crew in terms of performing in traffic signals. You might enjoy their unique artwork in the multicultural neighborhoods of Lavapiés and Malasaña
