Reviews from visitors:
Very interesting place. For 5 euros, it was very much worth visiting while already at the Citta Bianca. It was nice to walk through the museum unaccompanied. Lots of artifacts to look at. It's unfortunate that I don't speak Italian, but with a translator app, you're good to go!
There are no descriptions in English. Quite disappointing especially since I asked the lady at the entrance if there were. Not to be recommended for people that don't speak Italien.
All in Italian and not interesting. Not worth your time
Magnificent experience in this museum and convent as it is divided into two very interesting peculiarities, speaking from the Neolithic and prehistoric part up to expanding to the monastery which houses this museum of ancient civilizations of Ostuni where Neolithic bones have been found and even manage to open the mind on a thought that is often too didactic characterized by a mental barrier and often university / school, we were accompanied by the guide Maria Concetta, really very nice, unique and who knew how to explain things with a simplicity and a familiarity really out of the ordinary a sunny and sympathetic person who did sea and made us deeply love the whole tour of the museum, even explaining myths concepts and small experiences with notes of personal and interpersonal historical reflection. What can I say it was a truly wonderful experience that I recommend to everyone
Yesterday, as soon as we arrived in Ostuni, we visited this museum located inside the church of San Vito and the former convent of the nuns. A place with great attention to detail and full of interesting finds from the Messapian period and beyond. The spearhead is obviously represented by "Ostuni 1", the young woman of 28,000 years ago whose remains were found together with the remains of the child she was carrying and the extreme competence of Professor Giusy Errico who was an excellent Cicero! Knowledgeable, friendly and helpful! A must visit!
