The Leaning Tower is arguably Italy’s most iconic Building. So you really have to come and see it. It’s worth it. Besides the fact it’s leaning the tower itself is beautiful in its own right. The surrounding buildings equally as beautiful in appearance, design and colour. Plus it’s entertaining watching everyone to the standard “holding the tower up” pose.
Most people came here to see and 'support' the Leaning Tower. The tower, however, is just one component of this fantastic place. I like very much the cathedral, and above all, the marble baptistery with bronze door.
Piazza del Doumo is called 'Place of Miracles'. It really is.
