Reviews from visitors:
Our family of 4 visited Trout Street on Wednesday night. Our server, Iris, was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed meeting the manager, who was also gracious and welcoming. My 2 young children said it was the best restaurant they had ever been to :) . My youngest loved his cheeseburger and my oldest devoured the fried fish and shrimp plate. SO crispy! Enjoyed the fries, too. I love my gumbo, and my husband thought his shrimp scampi and clam chowder (a bit thick) were delicious. It was pricey for our usual restaurant experience, but we were happy to support this lovely establishment.
Not the quality experience it used to be food poor service was excellent.
The only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because the food was good once we got it.
The service was absolutely horrible. We ordered drinks and an app. We got our drinks 10 minutes later, but after 30 minutes asked about our peel and eat shrimp. Waitress said the kitchen hadn't put it up yet. Which 3 of us at the table have been in the hospitality industry. It doesn't take 30 minutes to pull shrimp. At the time of our drinks coming we had ordered our meals. It took over an hour and a half to get our meals. Only after asking for them. We spoke with a guy we thought was a manager, but he thought it was a joke. Finally the manager came over, didn't offer any explanation, didn't even offer money off our $200 bill. 4 tables sat after us, they got their food, and check and left before us. We had to ask multiple times for the check.
The waitress kept blaming the kitchen, but when my mom received her clam chowder, it had a skin on top like it had been sitting in the window. We are very good tippers but if you can't do your job, I won't tip. Take care of your tables.
Great service, great food
Best restaurant ever. Has a lot of different food choices. And I hope everyone that worked there when I was there are doing well
