Are you satisfied with an airline who completes you flight but loses your luggage? That is Holiday Express Port A. Bed was clean and roof didn’t leak. Water was availabile. But Hot Tub was broken for multiple night stay, alarm clock didn’t work and front desk could not replace, breakfast understaffed and takes 40 minutes standing in line to carry back to room. Excuses for all, responsible for nothing. Disappointing stay and won’t be back although we are Port A regular visitors.
The bathroom was not as clean as it could have been. There was hair in the shower/tub and in the sink that was not ours. Also, the pool was closed.
There was breakfast, and the lady was fantastic!
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
You’d be better to stay in Corpus and drive rather than stay here. We had reservations for a suite and specifically requested a crib for our infant. Arrived to be told no crib was available because they only have 2 and they are being used. Mind you, we are here in Winter during the dead season. To add insult to injury our toilet also didn’t work. The gentleman at the front desk simply said there was nothing he could do to improve our stay and no manager would be available til Monday to discuss further.
Having a very nice mini vacation with my guys...BUT should have looked around to see if other hotels had their pools opened. Like another person posted, for & $150 a night the pool should be available for use. I understand the bag breakfast but not the pool. I feel like everyone (hotels and other businesses) just use this COVID situation to help them cut costs. FYI - Met some people on the beach and they are staying at the Red Roof in and pool and other amenities are available. So if you're planning a vacation to the beach make sure your cost for hotel is worth it!!
Clean room. Great price for an impromptu beach overnighter!
