Reviews from visitors:
It will only worth to go, if you love unpleasant pieces of art and loves to be "the cultural person"
Apart from the beautiful view of the deep inequality of Brasil.
And last but not least, take care with your belongings, due to the community that will beg you some money to park your car.(don't believe them, there is a parking lot down the road)
No need to say that this is one of the most beautiful spots in Salvador. The sitio features a brand new - and small - charming cinema for art movies. The Chapel itself has been recently renewed and now counts with a fixed exhibition.
It's a fabulous place that lacks professional assistance. The church, the main house and the patio are wonderful photo spots. I missed someone or some technological gig to tell the history and what was there to see.
One should visit because it's a memory of slavery times in Salvador.
Bahia or not, don't expect a lot of art with a pronounced African, diasporic esthetic. Maybe you'll get lucky if a special exhibition is there.
