4 Roots Up Gallery

images
Located in Savannah's "Design District" just off Whittaker Street, Roots Up has something for everyone with an eclectic collection of art and more. If you can't find something you like here, you never will. Leslie Lovell has an accomplished curator's eye and casts a wide net. The atmosphere is calming and inviting, you'll want to stay awhile and find your special piece. There's probably a story behind it. Don't miss this place.

7 Jepson Center for the Arts

images
The definite quality of the art collection might only be overshadowed by the beauty of the building. The structure as much houses as enhances the incredible exhibits inside, which include stirring pieces for both casual art enthusiasts and scholars alike. My visit to Savannah would not have been complete without experiencing the Jepson Center.
8 Sulfur Studios

images
We enjoyed viewing three different artist's work on a recent Friday evening. "The Vault" restaurant was within walking distance & provided a perfect ending to a great night out.
9 Kobo Gallery

images
My wife and stopped in to this gallery and was blown away. The gentleman that was there quickly invited us in and gave us a in depth biography about each artist. Technique, influences and explanation of pieces we were interested in. It was one of the best gallery experiences either of us have ever had. I can not recommend this place enough. We can’t wait to come back and get more pieces for our home. Go in and support these artist. They deserve the attention!
10 Telfair Museums

images
Very nice museum with plenty of natural light. The exhibits were well curated and there was a bit of everything for everyone. One was a photography exhibit, there was a oil paintings exhibit, a paper crafts exhibit, and a new technology with earth as the concept exhibit (that one was very interesting) along with indoor and outdoor sculptures. The price is great considering one ticket gets you access to 3 venues. Definitely recommend taking advantage of that
12 Reynolds Square Fine Art Gallery

images
Within the historic area I found some beautiful works of art at this gallery. The artists were very nice and welcoming even allowing my dog to view the artwork as I did. Many of the works are focused on landscapes and sea settings. I understand many of the artists are local or have connections to the Savannah area. It is worth a visit if you have an interest in fine art.
13 Savannah African Art Museum

images
Had a wonderful time! Did the West African Tour and it had an abundance of beautiful artifacts! Our tour guide (the doctor) was super nice and seemed to be very well educated, he knew the lengthy history of whatever artifact we had questions on! Please drop by, it’s free and a must do when in Savannah!!
14 Tiffani Taylor Gallery

images
Tiffani is an amazing artist. Her gallery has a great collection of her work and the work of others.
16 Goldon House Gallery

images
I love original artwork but rarely go into galleries while on vacation. Upon a recommendation from a friend to “at least go inside”, my husband and I went in yesterday and were greeted by one of the most joyous and kind people, Vincent...the painter himself. Such a treat! Vincent happily explained each painting we were gazing at. Each had a story and the more colorful the story, the more brilliant the painting! All to say, we will be back during our next Savannah excursion!
17 Ray Ellis Gallery

images
The Ellis Gallery is charming! We loved Ray Ellis when we lived on the Vineyard, and it was always on "our list" to visit his gallery in Savannah! The gentleman at the gallery was just a doll, and we had so much fun talking about our love of Mr. Ellis' work. Was so fun to see the lowcountry scenes in person!
If you have a love of art, come see this artist's quintessential work!
18 Sue Gouse Inspirations

images
Sue Gouse is an amazing artist! You must check out her work!
She does wonderful paintings of the full range of Southeast subjects, from Savannah and the Coastal Empire/Lowcountry to the Appalachian Mountains. The prints and ORIGINALS are all very reasonably priced! She also does gorgeous commissioned pieces.
But the most amazing pieces are in the "Confetti" style that she invented. You may fall in love with this technique. I did! Check it out.
19 Liquid Sands Glass Gallery

images
Truly the best gallery of glass on the East Coast! Kym & John have made it a place to linger long, and discover the many ways glass is used to create incredible art. I have had my eye on the big jelly for several months, I am thrilled that they have brought in the baby ones now also. I am starting with the baby first in honor of our baby girl (21yrs) I love that they are American made! It is a gallery providing for glass artists all over America to have a place to showcase and sell their art. Perfect place to visit with a cup of coffee. It is a Savannah treasure and a 'must see' spot!!
20 Starlandia Art Supply

images
Always love stopping by this place! Great for everyone from the artist on a budget to part time crafters to leather workers and painters galore!! Always interesting finds and they even take your old supplies in and give you credit!!
