Enjoyable pottery class, the teachers guide and help a lot. Communication is surprisingly easy except for when you have a certain shape in mind you want to try, it is not always understood. Pieces can be delivered to PP. Shop with beautiful ceramics, large selection of styles and colors.
A great place by the river to learn how to make things from clay. It lies along the river and with big shade, you can relax. There are teachers who will guide you through the process.
This really wasn't at all what was advertised. Everything was rushed which ruined the experience completely. It wasn't an enjoyable 2 hours at all! Terribly disappointed.
Another unique experience in Siem Reap helping disadvantaged locals (try Phare Circus for another great one). At Khmer Ceramics you will have the chance to make your own pot or bowl with the guidance of skilled deaf and mute potters. You can keep the one that is your favourite or buy each of the others for an additional cost ($5 a piece when we were there).
We went as a family but only my son's (12 & 14) took part. Neither had made pots before but they were given ample guidance and the chance to go wrong and learn from it. Those helping we're very good at giving just enough help and no more. They were (as you might expect) very adept at communicating without words. Both my sons enjoyed it and made pots independently, something they were both proud of.
Beware, if you step into the gift shop for too long you could be highly tempted to spend obscene amounts of money.....
Great class on basics of pottery led by instructors who have disabilities. We knew zilch about pottery and it was such a fun activity with lovely people in an outdoor setting. They collect you and drop you off at your hotel so it's so convenient. You make 5 items under their very helpful guidance and can keep 1 at no extra cost. Alternatively just pick an item from their store that is under a certain amount... I chose a cute handmade bracelet!
