Reviews from visitors:
From the city wall, Kiek in de Kök, the Virgin's Tower and the Tallitor's Tower are located by the Commandant's Garden. The area of the commandant's garden is about 1.2 ha.
The green area was established in the 1820s, originally in the northeast of the garden was a orchard. From 1864 to the beginning of the 20th century the garden was in the possession of the Toompea Kaarli congregation in Tallinn.
The park is named after its command house on the west side of Toompea Street and Tallinn Command House on the corner of Komandandi Road.
Peaceful right outside the wall
Unremarkable, but part of the old town. One can take a breather at the park benches while exploring the town.
This park is in a popular area. It could use a better layout and more things to look at.
I really like it! The entire surroundings of the Virgin Tower are a truly magnificent medieval haven with strong European-Slavic influences. It's not too much to change, it's green, spacious and simple. The medieval towers weave their own pride. A very decorative piece of the castle wall can be found as well. Also in November there were a few flowers in the rose bed because the place is so sheltered. When you turn inside the castle wall, you get a bit of Carcassonne feel (though they don't last long). There was a Yankee party in the park, screaming in medieval costumes. What a great experience!
