Reviews from visitors:
This is such a wonderful place. I used to live just around the corner, but even though I’ve moved, I still make the trek. It’s free admission for general exhibits. Large, spacious, and gorgeous! Plus they have WiFi and lots of seating in the café area (even an outdoor patio but the cicadas are a bit deafening) so you can get some work done.
Temperature check upon entering!
Pretty disappointing. The art center is basically a huge building with multiple exhibitions and each one requires you to purchase a ticket (each exhibition differs in price and range between 800 yen and up). The staff did mention that if you purchase a ticket you get a discount on the next ticket. I personally didn't think it was worth paying for each exhibit. There is no art displayed anywhere else in the building so we ended up walking around the neighborhood instead. Not worth the trip.
Nice building which a lot of space and light. The staff is well organized and friendly. The have very nicely installed exhibitions.
Beautiful museum and area of Tokyo. Perhaps due to the timing (July 2020), it felt like the museum had very few exhibits given the space. It’s such a huge and well-designed space that I expected a large permanent gallery.
Great art centre. Make sure to get the salmon rice bowl. Can't find it anywhere but here.
