Reviews from visitors:
The garden is lovely and I would come again. I had a great time with my friend just enjoyed the peaceful Japanese garden atmosphere. I took any photos.
Smaller museum specializing in historic Asian art work. However, i would like to particularly call out their amazing, hidden and large size Japanese garden.
Very good museum. Don't forget to visit the garden ! Very beautiful, must be visited !
First of all the exhibits have always been an insight to Japanese aesthetics and culture. A don’t miss as an American that loves traveling in Japan. The design of the building is amazing with an excellent tradition from the streets of Tokyo to garden silence. Don’t miss the cafe in the garden. Photo tells all. If you are looking for a place to escape the frenzy of the urban chaos this is one of many great places.
The Nezu Museum is located in the Minami Aoyama district of Tokyo, 10 minutes walk from Omotesando station. This museum is not only just a museum, but also has a fabulous Japanese garden and a neat cafe.
The museum was first opened in 1941, thanks to a bequest from Kaichiro Nezu I. He loved antiques and collected various art works of Japanese and East Asian arts, and the museum now has more than 7,000 items. Kaichiro is famous as the King of Railways because he was involved in many railway building projects. He was such an industrialist, also was the president of Asahi and Sapporo Beer Company and Nissin, which is now famous for Cup Noodle.
This museum has a Japanese garden with some Asian taste, and this is definitely my favorite garden in Tokyo.
Currently, you need online reservation in advance.
