Away from the crowds you can fine this spacy museum with Rodin and other really beautiful sculptures. And a beautiful painting of Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida the Sail sewers which was the most expensive purchase of the early Biennale di Venezia. We went there to see the Fiorucci exposition which was a blast. Upstairs is the Asian art museum, but unfortunately we ran out of time. Highly recommended visit.

Tucked away in a small street is this beautiful local exhibition spot! Displaying the marriage between wood and glass in various design objects. It's totally worth a stop if only to meet and talk to the owner who has such a passion for wood/design and the city of Venice!

A wonderful area of Venice. Away from the tourist area with all the charm you can image. I recommend the Rio Tero Farsetti restaurant by the shopping area and the Eli Murano glass store.

We booked a walking tour with Luisella at very short notice, which she kindly and graciously accommodated. Her communication with us was clear, prompt and comprehensive, providing us with many (very hard to choose from!!) options which were extremely well detailed. Luisella met us punctually and enchanted us with her knowledge and passion for Venice, opening our eyes (and hearts) to details we had never noticed before, and showed us places we had never been, despite previous visits. Her delightful and friendly manner appealed to both the adults, teenager and child in our group, and we were charmed as much by her as by the beautiful city of Venice. I highly recommend Luisella should you want a personal, informative, humorous and thoughtful tour of Venice. We cannot wait to visit again and will definitely take tours with her in the future.

9 Palazzo Fortuny

A very good museum, in the center of the city, although a little difficult to find, although it compensates for its contents. The building corresponds to the "Pesaro degli Orfei" Palace, which Marià Fortuny Madrazo gave him to the city, after having lived for many years of his life. He was a great artist, multifaceted, son of Marià Fortuny and Marsal, famous painter born in Reus (Spain). And we can find a history of the character and his time, there are paintings, fabrics and Fortuny lamps on the first floor, together with rooms dedicated to the history of the palace and also his workshop on the second floor. The building still has elements created by Fortuny. It is a museum not to lose.

Ancient church, although substantially the present structure depends only on the reconstruction of the 18th century.

Very good souvenir shop and local gem. Excellent choice, the seller informed us well and even gave us the 20% discount that we had not identified. Very good value for money.

We spotted these beautiful chess sets while walking past the shop in 2019 but being near the beginning of a year-long family backpacking trip, we couldn't buy one. I took a photo of the shop, and 18 months later when back in Australia, contacted Aldo and arranged to buy it. He was very easy to deal with, a very responsive and reliable communicator, and I have just received the set, in less than a week. It was packed extremely carefully and we are thrilled with the condition of it. I highly recommend this wonderful shop.
