My family and I really enjoy touring this spectacular gallery and the associate ( I forget his name!) gave us so much of his time. He explained a lot of the details of this amazing Russian artist who painted many European cities.They're spectacular to see in person and also the Canadian artist who did the colorful sculptures and amazing exotic minerals and gems including Jade, onyx and quartz
For the last 5 years, I have wanted to invest in a piece from a local artist every time we come to Maui but never found anything that really inspired me. Just to be clear, I’m not a collector and have never spent more than a few hundred on an art piece but I really wanted to start and I was blessed to walk into Belinda’s store with my wife today. With no real intention other than browsing, we started chatting with Belinda and we ended up talking for over an hour and it was one of the greatest conversations we have ever had with a stranger. As I was browsing, there was a beautiful piece painted by Belinda and I knew that was the one I wanted. Belinda worked with me and not only do I now own an amazing piece of art, I will never forget the experience of buying it and speaking personally with the artist makes it that much more special. If you are looking to buy a painting or other art, do yourself a favor and stop by and talk to Belinda. You may just end up walking out with your dream piece. Thank you so much for making my first major (for me at least) art purchase one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I hope to stay in touch with Belinda for years to come and can’t wait to display my new painting where everyone can have a little window to Maui at my house! Thank you again!!
Love this gallery! Highly recommend the photography class put on by Michael Gilbert, professional photographer. One can learn so much from him, whether you have a smart phone camera or a fancy camera. Love taking home your photo printed on silver paper, ready for framing. I've taken the class three times and learn something new every time.
Bought a beautiful sterling silver ring with a wrap of sterling around a setting in February 2020 and sadly I just lost it. I lost the artist's business card and would love to get in touch with her. I believe her name was Uma. I also purchased a necklace for my daughter.
Update 9/2020 pictured is my new opal ring created by Uma Silbey, m.a. Thank you Lahaina Arts for finding Uma and I'm loving my replacement ring.
My review of the highly valuable experience I had at Atelier Maui is long, long overdue. Semyon Bilmes is an excellent, true teacher and his art so beautiful and done with a depth of skill and training that was very inspiring. I spent 10 weeks here visiting from Canada and though I did not have much time to practice what I learned afterwards, I do now and I see what a difference being exposed to the education I received from Semyon has made. I didn't find it easy, it was challenging to start to really learn how to see, draw and raise my standards for myself but it was something I will never forget and it gave me a foundation I am very grateful for. The studio itself is so beautiful too and in a gorgeous, lush Maui setting!
Great art gallery. The artist and owner Michael was a pleasure to work with. Everything in the gallery is original art, not run of the mill cookie cutter art you see everywhere. I found out that he was able to assist in collecting other artists that I was interested in well. Left with a koa wood watch, a resin sculpture, and a place to find whatever I'm looking for in the future!

Love this Gallery, I keep coming to this gallery repeatedly to see the same pieces of Kush's work and find something new in the minute details every time. Steve and Rick provides great insight on his work and are very knowledgeable men at work.
We met Chad back in 2016 when we were in Maui for our honeymoon. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and we actually shipped a piece of artwork home... Recently we had a small mishap with it and I reached out to Chad to see what my options were. He responded within less than 24 hours and now less than 48 hours we have a resolution and my husband is going to be happy. It’s so nice knowing that miles away, there are still business owners that stand by their product. When we do get to travel and go back to Hawaii, we will be making a stop at Maui Fine Art to add to our collection. And if you are in Maui, you should visit them! We found them initially at a fair where we were staying and later visited the showroom.

The best limited chain of arts/crafts stores on Maui, completely stocked with made-in-Maui products at fair prices. We didn't appreciate this fully until going to Kona, where there are not comparable shopping options. Worth a visit!

This Build Used to be the Paia Mercantile it was basically a store. But in 1970s it was later subdivided into various Retail Spaces. and that explains why it looks so different
