What a delightful little gallery that we happened upon while exploring Magazine Street! Vina was so sweet and kind to us - we thoroughly enjoyed spending some time there talking to her. We loved looking at all the different pieces on display. Vina took her time showing us various interactive art pieces and also taught our daughter how to make a delicious passion fruit lemonade! We bought a few prints and we will definitely be back the next time we are in NOLA. Thank you Vina for a fun afternoon!
It goes without saying that the collection on display at Martin Lawrence Gallery is world class, which poses the question, is a review even necessary? But I think one is, if only to mention that Sergio took quality time to take my husband and I through the gallery and treated us so well. He is knowledgable and was a joy to just listen to talk about the collection. There was no pretense or pressure to buy, and when we’re ready to do just that we know exactly where we will come back to.
If you love animals you will be in heaven walking into this gallery, not only is there soul and meaning behind every piece but every animal that has existed on earth is alive here in the only Gallery I’ve seen like it anywhere. From giant wall art to very affordable prints if you’re a kind human and in New Orleans make it a priority to go here.
Ricky was knowledgeable and energetic. Didn't anticipate buying art, but his love of the works was contagious. We will be back every time we visit! Parker and family
Tracy & Jamie have helped me build an art collection that I love and am so proud of! They have given invaluable guidance and are always honest- which I appreciate immeasurably. I love the shows at the gallery- they offer a wonderful opportunity to meet & get to know the artists and hear them talk about how the paintings came to be. Tracy has created a fabulous environment that not only showcases the artists & their work but brings people together. Gallery Orange is my favorite gallery in New Orleans!
Awesome gallery, worth 5-20 minutes of your time if you’re in the French Quarter. I definitely regret not buying a book there. It was open to a page of a dozen eggs cooked different ways and section-cut with descriptions such as texture and consistency.
Wonderful shopping experience. The artist pays attention to detail. He would not sale me the painting that was used. He took the time out an printed a fresh painting. I will definitely pay a trip back to New Orleans to purchase more of his art work. I have spent years searching for an artist who could create art with his level of talent. I recently purchased a prince Rodger Nelson painting from this shop and I was not disappointed. His prices are very reasonable.
Clayton was fabulous to work with, and we were able to easily and quickly select two fabulous prints. We can't wait to get them framed and on our wall. Please check out Frank Relle's amazingly beautiful work.
I saw a piece of art in someone’s home in the real estate section of the newspaper. I screen shot it, printed it out and put it in my file. A couple of years later, I saw another piece at a friends home. It’s hard to get down to the quarter when you live out of town. Had to come in for a funeral and made it to the gallery. The piece I originally liked was there but the piece I thought I would like the least was fabulous. Such hard decisions. Solution: get 2. They are hung in my home and they are lovely. Thank you Mr. Harouni. I smile a little more everyday just looking at your work.
