Not a landmark but you'll probably pass by it
Since Corso Umberto is the main street in the Old City of Taormina and since it goes from the southern Porta Catania to the Northern Porta Messina (as are situated these two main Cities), you will certainly pass by Porta Messina as you will pass by Porta Catania.
Nothing really special with this wall and this gate though.
Porta Catania is probably more interesting though, and it has the main Parking situated just nearby (a 7 storey building).
However the Porta Messina is really close to the Roman Theater so if you are visiting Taormina for the Theater or to attend a performance, this the gate to reach.
By the way it is also really close to Bam Bar and its unique Granita, which by itself made Taormina difficult to forget.
Great place to visit. Very picturesque. Interesting.
