Reviews from visitors:
Experience was nice. Its good to see such good architecture which was built so many year ago. It took 2-3 hours to completely see the palace area.
Beautiful place for photography. Definitely worth of time. To enjoy this place I will suggest you to take guide with you to understand significance of various arts, crafts and other heritage. You can enjoy amazing view of Udaipur City and lakefront.
Wao. A great example of Indian Royalty and Grandeur. It is a huge area though some part has been converted to hotel and some into private space, still most of the part is open for public visit. It is really kept beautifully preserved and still many things can be seen here which gives true picture of the royalty of the then rulers!
Always love to visit historical places. This Rajasthan palace was one of them for I was so much excited. it's always good to read some history or watch videos about place and characters before visit. It makes me feel more interested and curious to visit. But on visiting day,I was so tired because of weather. Visited around 2 pm and it was sunny in November. Rajasthan day weather is too hot. So best time to visit in morning. My advice to Carry lemon juice which will make u feel hydrated and energized. Also, wear hat and sunglasses.flat slippers are best. Don't carry heavy bag with u as u have to walk to much.
Entry and parking fees are bit high but worth visiting if one likes history. It's well maintained. It's important to take guide here to understand history otherwise one will end up taking few photos. This tour will take around two hours. It's worth to visit this place at least once if one is in Udaipur.
Do see the lucrative pictures of this beautiful place.
While the palace itself is great, and the museum is elaborate in its collection, the maddening rush of tourists mean you get barely a few moments around one attraction before you're pushed over. The museum has a fixed tour path which you aren't allowed to deviate from meaning spending more time at one particular spot is while not prohibited, certainly frowned upon.
At 300 per person the fee is on the steeper side but if you manage to come here on a work day, maybe with less of a swarm of people around you'll enjoy it more
