Fantastically curated gallery in a minimalist space which leans towards the forward-thinking and the abstract. The showcased artists are most often up-and-coming and they try to avoid having any piece, even rather large ones, being overly expensive (to-date, most of the pieces I've seen displayed are in the 4-figures). The messaging in the artwork displayed is most often subtle, with something left for creative interpretation. I usually find art that invites thought about it, rather than art that bluntly tells you what to think. If you want something creative which shuns the cudgel of pop art, Matter and Light may be a great place to find it. Definitely in my top 3 of Boston galleries.

Features some great artists. Particularly liked the Christopher Volpe "Loomings" showing.

Fine art gallery--prices are a bit much for the quality of the art.
